A lot of things from them are really similar or under right assumptions fits pretty well: -The Zone and events born from explosion. -people specialised in surviving/traveling there (Porter unit, masked man, stalkers) -escorting clients, common theme/missions in Stalker, especially scientists; Sam was escorting/helping Corpse Disposal Unit.
